Uncorrected visual problems can have a dramatic effect on sporting ability. Research shows that vision and sporting performance are directly related. Elite athletes understand the need to train and keep the body in peak fitness. Vision is the dominant sense in most sports. We must maximise all aspects of vision to maximise performance. Wearing glasses or contact lenses can help hugely in your sports performance, they will:

  1. Increase your reaction time
  2. Improve your co-ordination skills
  3. Help you to better judge distances, direction and speed of moving objects
  4. Improve your timing and anticipation skills
  5. Increase your peripheral awareness
  6. Improve eye-to-hand and eye-to-body accuracy

Obviously for certain sports glasses can not be worn but that is where contact lenses come in! We have a large range of glasses for sports and also a large range of contact lenses. Don’t let yourself or your team down by not wearing your specs or contacts, it could be the difference between winning and loosing!
